After the series of talks, we met up with some of the student helpers, who guided us to the hostel. Our first look at Raffles Hall, looks so much better than NUS High's one. ( shiny windows *ahem*)
Had to wait for a long time before we finally got a room, and at first glance, it really is better than our school's.
After settling down, or just chucking all our bags in the room, we headed to the Yusof Ishak hall to have our dinner. Buffet style (as always). Of all places, why put a buffet right in the middle of the food court??? Sense it makes none.
After the buffet, where our group decided to take sneak photo shots of each other (censored, unfortunately). So much fun, where Ivan and Jun Xiong facepalmmed all the way, haha. We waited patiently at the bus stop. During this boring duration, Melvin decided to play with his super awesome 30 mW laser pointer.

Followed by a long bus ride, which made us think that we went out of NUS, all the way to some remote place called Prince George Park Residences.
We thought our hostels were great, until we saw this.
We want to cry already. D: Met some of the Pre-U Sem people there, but thats not the point. The point is that we had a "night activity" there!
Looks familiar? These were the items corresponding to the items in the list(above). Honestly, trying to get a mosquito from the blue UV lamp wasn't an easy feat. And we wondered why the student leaders had to make us kill 2 ants... Insect cruelty!
In the end, the student helper declared everyone a winner.... zzz no prizes. No forfeit. Nothing :S
We took a bus back to our hostel and that concluded day 1.
PS - Showering cubicles are awesome! (no pictures to show though)

All hostels encourage guests to interact in common areas, share travel stories, give advice and most importantly, have fun.
